Kosteuttava ja hoitava yövoide - Moisturizing and caring night cream

Tein tämänkin voiteen jo aikaisemmin keväällä, mutta postaus jäi tekemättä ajan puutteen takia. Talven, kiireen, stressin ja sairastelun rasittama naamani tarvitsi extrahoivaa, joten tein yökäyttöön vähän tuhdimman voiteen. Olin oikein tyytyväinen tähän tuotteeseen.

Yövoide - Night cream

30 g aloemehua / aloe juice
10 g aloe geeliä / aloe gel
5g    glyseriiniä / glycerin
25 g tyrniöljyä / sea buck thorn oil
5 g   ruusunmarjan siemenöljyä / rose hip seed oil
15 g avocadoöljyä / avocado oil
5 g   mehiläisvahaa / bees wax
1 tl  BTMS
1 tl  emulgointijauhetta / emulsifying powder
½ tl ksantaania / xanthan powder
1 g  Cosgard - säilöntäaine / preservative

Tämä purkki on ollut pitkään jääkaapissa...

I made this cream earlier last spring, but I didn't post about it then because of the lack of time. Winter, rush, stress and being sick made my face to scream extra care taking, so I made little heavier night cream to pamper my skin. I was very happy with this product.

  1. Love the ingredients of this cream, Sini! Seabuck thorn oil is one of my favorite oil, especially i the summer! But i do't understand the difference between the aloe gel and aloe juice, and are those homemade or do you use to buy them?

    1. Me too :) I don't think there is any other difference between aloe gel and juice than texture. Gel is just more thicker. I buy my aloes "ready-made", usually from iHerb.

  2. I'm just waiting my sea buckthorn oil and it also will be for my facial cream. I just love your ingredients, sounds like a good nourishing cream.
Tell me what measurement tl stands for in your recipe . I can't summerize your recipe, but I guess it's about 100 g. How BTMS cope with 50% oil phase, I have never tried any w/o emulsifier with such a huge fats phase?

    1. I loved that too, need to make more for the next winter. "tl" is teaspoon, recipe is about 100g all together. I got three 50 ml jar from that recipe. I haven't notice any difference with BTMS (or other emulsifiers) when I'm changing amounts of water phase /oil phase.

    2. I recently tried e-wax with 50+oil phase. It became like ricing soap, it wouldn't emulsify. Then,I added more e-wax - didn't help. Only when I added water, it finally did emulsify properly. I finished up with 32% oil phase and about 8% e-wax. Nice emulsion.

    3. Oh no, good to know that! I usually use more than one emulsifier at once, so maybe that helps?
