I made this cream earlier last spring, but I didn't post about it then because of the lack of time. Winter, rush, stress and being sick made my face to scream extra care taking, so I made little heavier night cream to pamper my skin. I was very happy with this product.
Love the ingredients of this cream, Sini! Seabuck thorn oil is one of my favorite oil, especially i the summer! But i do't understand the difference between the aloe gel and aloe juice, and are those homemade or do you use to buy them?
VastaaPoistaMe too :) I don't think there is any other difference between aloe gel and juice than texture. Gel is just more thicker. I buy my aloes "ready-made", usually from iHerb.
PoistaI'm just waiting my sea buckthorn oil and it also will be for my facial cream. I just love your ingredients, sounds like a good nourishing cream.
VastaaPoistaTell me what measurement tl stands for in your recipe . I can't summerize your recipe, but I guess it's about 100 g. How BTMS cope with 50% oil phase, I have never tried any w/o emulsifier with such a huge fats phase?
I loved that too, need to make more for the next winter. "tl" is teaspoon, recipe is about 100g all together. I got three 50 ml jar from that recipe. I haven't notice any difference with BTMS (or other emulsifiers) when I'm changing amounts of water phase /oil phase.
PoistaI recently tried e-wax with 50+oil phase. It became like ricing soap, it wouldn't emulsify. Then,I added more e-wax - didn't help. Only when I added water, it finally did emulsify properly. I finished up with 32% oil phase and about 8% e-wax. Nice emulsion.
PoistaOh no, good to know that! I usually use more than one emulsifier at once, so maybe that helps?
