Omat koiruuteni ovat siis bichoneja, joita pitäisi pestä ja trimmata usein. Paljon ulkona ja luonnossa liikkuvina omieni turkit eivät ole useinkaan priimakunnossa. Kahdella koiralla niin shampoota kuin hoitoainettakin kuluu melkoiset määrät, eivätkä ne valmiina ostettuina ole mitään halpoja. Niin hyviä kuin eläinkaupan tuotteet ovatkin, niin minua ärsyttää se, ettei niissä ole ainesosaluetteloa, ja niissä on selvästi paljon niin väri- kuin hajusteaineitakin. Etenkin kesäaikaan pesen koirani ulkotiloissa, jolloin pesuaineetkin päätyvät luontoon. Tässäkin on yksi hyvä syy käyttää vähemmän kemikaaleja sisältäviä tuotteita.
Emme käy näyttelyissä, joten shampoossa ei tarvitse olla mitään kirkasteita tai "valkaisuaineita". Olenkin jo puolitoista vuotta käyttänyt omaa blondishampootani (jota tein taannoin lisää OHP:nä), joka toimii erinomaisen hyvin. Nyt sitten yritän kehitellä sen kaveriksi toimivat hoitoaineen.
Ensimmäinen tuotos on tehty tällä reseptillä (tupla-annos):
2 g setyylialkoholi
2 g setearyylialkoholi
4 g emulgointihiutaleet
5 g manteliöljyä
5 g kookosöljyä
5 g jojobaöljyä
50 g kamomilla-
ja kaurahauduke
20 g aloemehua
10 g aloegeeli
1,5 g Optiphen
rosmariinin,
laventelin ja sitruunan eö
E-vitamiinia
Tämän toimivuutta ei ole siis vielä testattu, joten jokainen kokeilkoon omalla vastuullaan!

I had planned this product almost ready earlier - but I left my plans to my cottage. So I tried to remember what ingredients there was in my plan, and at the same time I Googled and checked advertisement of "Musti&Mirri" (a pet store in Finland).
My doggies are bichons, which are supposed to be washed and trimmed quite often. Because they spend much time in the garden or in the forest, their furs are not in the best shape very often. With two dogs you need shampoo and conditioner quite a lot, and buying them from pet store is not cheap option. Even if those commercial products are good and well working, I don't like that they don't have any ingredients list on them, and there are obviously much colouring and scents in them. I wash my dogs out in the garden in summer time, and that way shampoos end up to nature. This is one more good reason to use less chemicals in your every day products.
We don't go any dog shows, so my dogs won't need any brightness or whitening stuff in their shampoos or conditioners. I've been using my own blond shampoo about 18 months now (I just made more few weeks ago as OHP), and that works very well. Now I'm trying to create conditioner to complete these washing sessions.

Eilen ja tänään oli tämä hoitoaine ensi kertaa käytössä uusimman blondishampoopalan (ne pikkukakut) kanssa. Koiruudet pääsivät kylpyyn mökkisaunassa. Tällä kertaa en harjannut enkä föönannut koiria pesun jälkeen, joten hoitoaineen aikaansaannoksia on hieman vaikeampi arvioida. Daisyn turkkiin käytin hoitoainetta sellaisenaan, mutta sitä oli työläämpi huuhtoa pois ilman suihkua. Lotolle sitten laimensin sen, kuten kaupankin tuotteet. Ainakin koirista tuli ihanan raikkaan tuoksuiset - ja mikä yllättävintä, ne tuntuivat itsekin nauttivan siitä. Tavanomainen pesua seuraava ralli ympäri kämppää jäin kokonaan väliin, otukset tuntuivat olevan hyvin tyytyväisiä oloonsa.
I tried this conditioner first time today and yesterday with the newest blond shampoo bar (those little cakes). My doggies took their baths in sauna in my cottage. This time I didn't brush or dried their coats after bath, so it is quite difficult to estimate results of the conditioner. For Daisy I used plain conditioner, but it was hard to rinse off without having shower, so for Lotto I added some water, just like I need to do with store-bought products. Now my doggies smell so lovely fresh, at least - and the most surprising thing was that they seemed to enjoy themselves. They didn't run all over the house after bath, as they usually do, they seemed to be really satisfied with their clean furs.
